I have now been a resident of NC for 39 years. Art is my second career – having been a clinical social worker for over 40 years. I have found there is a surprising link between my love of collage utilized in all media in which I work (encaustic wax, textiles, mixed media) with my former work as a psychotherapist. People’s lives are textured by the complicated nuances of their experience. There are many layers below the surface in people as well as in collage. Elements may be seen but what might be obscured adds depth and subtlety.
