US artist, Taylor Tynes, is an oil painter based in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Upon receiving her BFA in 2016 from the University of South Carolina she moved to Salt Lake City to study drawing at the Hein Atelier of Traditional Art. She has since been exhibiting work across the US and abroad. Tynes draws influence from her day to day life and is interested in continually exploring the relationship between representational art and abstract design. Both being a means to arrive at capturing the essence and distinctive qualities of her subject matter.
