UpMarket Gallery is located downtown at 68-70 N. Market Street in historic downtown Asheville, NC. Situated next to the original Asheville Biltmore Hotel on N. Market St. and adjacent to Thomas Wolfe’s boyhood home, the buildings are steeped in Asheville’s rich history. Home to the first location of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Asheville, as well as many other retail and corporate tenants, these buildings have been an integral part of Asheville’s history.
The buildings have been recognized as historically significant by the State of NC and the Federal Government, and have been awarded tax incentives for the restoration through Federal and State programs.
