Raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Kelli N. Scott draws lifelong inspiration from the region’s natural beauty and rich Appalachian culture. Now based in Huntersville, North Carolina, she maintains a painting practice that blends expressive brushwork with an intuitive, story-driven approach. Her work celebrates her Appalachian roots and explores themes of memory, place, and emotional resonance. A banjo player as well as a painter, Scott finds joy in playing traditional old-time music. When not creating, she enjoys traveling, reading, and time with family and friends—sources of connection that fuel her art.
