Nuha Moretz is a Yemeni-American contemporary visual artist whose work explores abstract horizons, nature, memory, and stillness. Working between Utah and North Carolina, she creates minimalist, horizon-inspired paintings as visual sanctuaries for reflection, connection, and possibility.
Influenced by Japanese minimalism, negative space, and her early years studying art in Tokyo, Moretz uses color, light, texture, and layered forms to evoke a sense of place and quiet contemplation. Her Horizon Series explores the space between land and sky, presence and memory, and where we are and where we might go, while her Colorful Horizons series brings greater energy and expression through color.
Moretz holds an M.A. in International Studies as a Fulbright Scholar and has worked across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in private collections.
