Cindi has spent a lifetime studying art and art history through coursework, private lessons, workshops, and visits to world-renowned museums in Europe and the United States. She is a portraitist (of humans and animals), as well as a painter of landscapes and still lifes. Her representational style is inspired by Russian landscape painters, such as Ivan Shishkin, the animalière Rosa Bonheur, the French Impressionists, and modern-day artists such as Richard Schmid and Robert Johnson.
Cindi’s work hangs in businesses and private homes. It also can be found on the streets of Washington, D.C. She was selected to participate in several D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities public arts projects, including “Pandamonium,” “Party Animals,” and the “Art on Call” (call box) project. Cindi’s paintings have won prizes at juried art shows in Great Falls, Virginia and have been accepted at Art at the Mill shows in Clarke County, Virginia. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America.
Cindi received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar. She earned a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
Cindi’s studio is in Travelers Rest, SC. Many of her paintings are hanging for sale at the White Rabbit Fine Art Gallery in Travelers Rest, where she is a guest artist.
