Watercolorist working in wet into wet, wet into dry, drybrush techniques. Subjects include still life, animal & landscape. I am fascinated by other artist’s tools such as brushes, paint tubes, pastels, etc., and enjoy painting same. I mostly attempt to capture color, light and contrast of a subject.

• Graduated from Hunter College (City University of New York) in 1975 with a BA, majoring in Art with a concentration in Design
• Studied watercolor with Maury Greene & Bob Coe at the Columbia Center for the Arts in Columbia, Maryland
• Member of the Fells Point Art Gallery 2009-2014 in Baltimore
• Signature Artist in the Baltimore Watercolor Society
• Associate Artist in the Watercolor Society of North Carolina
• Selected to do home drawings for the Columbia Association’s home tour catalog for four years in Columbia, Maryland
• Member artist at Mooresville Arts, Mooresville, North Carolina
• Resident artist at Trackside Studios in Asheville NC’s River Arts District
• Have shown work at various Mid-Atlantic galleries including 505 North, The Delaplaine Center, TAG, Hoffberger Gallery, McBride Gallery
• Won Judge’s Choice Award in the Artoberfest show at Mooresville Arts
• Lives in Mooresville, NC with wife Ellen.
