Jason Pierson is a mixed media artist born in 1978 in Pontiac, MI, currently residing and working in Canton, NC. In his process-focused textile and paper assemblages, Pierson explores the intersections of creation and decay; treasure and rubbish; & control and chance. His work blends devotion to the discarded and worn with a keen sense of balance, order, and structure. Reimagined and recontextualized materials feature prominently throughout Pierson’s creative work.
