Jaya Saxena is a Marietta, GA-based artist whose work spans abstract expressionism, loose figures, abstract florals, and landscapes. Versatility is at the heart of her practice – she aims to create pieces that transcend their individual elements, capturing something greater than technique or medium alone. Jaya paints in layers, creating textured compositions that carry a sense of mystery, revealing their history and evolution. She experiments with a variety of styles, materials, and subjects, always guided by color as her primary muse. Her work invites viewers to discover something new with each encounter, making every experience with the painting unique.
She works in acrylics, pastels, and charcoals, often incorporating vintage paper, magazine clippings, and other found materials to enhance visual interest and depth. Her pieces are collected both in the United States and internationally.
